Hi! I am Akhil Theerhtala. I work as a data scientist at Perfios Software Solutions, Bengaluru. I also hold an Aerospace Engineering degree from IIT Kharagpur. However, on this website, I mainly write about Machine Learning and Stories.

That's a categorical mess right there. Yet, these are the characteristics that define me as an individual.

So, Why a website?

Well, be it because of the ADHD I have (it was clinically diagnosed) or because of how uncontrollable my curiosity is, I have been able to explore various unrelated fields from history, AI, math, physics, finance, etc. And once we have an overload of information, we need a fail-safe mechanism to structure these things. That's what this blog is for me.

It's an engine that keeps me sane and lets me be more curious about the many things around the world.

What's in it for you?

Well, that's an easy question to answer. I am a big fan of Richard Feynmann, and more so of this quote:

If you can't explain something in simple terms, you don't understand it.

That's the essence of what I am trying to achieve through this blog. Be it the books I read or the concepts I learn, I want to ensure I digest them. The easiest way I found to do that is to share it with others. And, of course, that only means I want to serve others so that I can benefit by learning from them. It's like the classic "prisoner's dilemma" problem from Game Theory. (I'll explain what I mean by this soon in a different article, so stay tuned!)
