3 Unforgettable Books That I Love Re-Reading
Diving deep into narratives that blend adventure, creativity, and life’s greatest lessons

It has been a long time since I started reading books. I tried multiple stories across different mediums. But very few had hit me with a high like never before. I often re-read these books, even though they are too long for their own good.
These stories are the reason why I call myself The Story Taste. And today, I’d like to share them with you and look forward to hearing back from one person who found these fun!
1. I Shall Seal The Heavens
This is one of my favourite stories. It was what introduced me to the world of web novels. It was also vastly different from all the works I’ve read before. Here’s the synopsis of the book for you.

Synopsis: If I want something, the heavens better have it. If I don’t want something, the heavens better not have it! This is a story that originates between the Eighth and Ninth Mountains, a world in which “My fate is to seal the heavens like a demon!”
Pretty weird, right? That’s the only description I found on this book at its serialisation. But I’ll try to give you a better one. It’s the story of Meng Hao, a failed scholar who gets dragged into a different world of immortal cultivation.
This series is about as long as the “Wheel of Time” series (about 3.35 million words!), but it’s all a single story. We start with a small region and explore the universe as the story progresses. There’s war, comedy, friendship, loyalty and a lot of action! But my favourite aspect of this story is its sense of progression. The foreshadowings and answers to the questions I had long back at the book’s beginning blew my mind.
I won’t go into much detail now, but if you like, I have written an entire article on this series. You can find it anytime!
2. The Great StoryTeller
This story is the complete opposite of the first one I shared. It’s not about action or loyalty or the world-building. It’s about those who create this stuff. The authors. It still has a sense of fantasy to it, but the taste it gave me was fantastic.

We follow an old author, Juho Woo, who had a successful debut in his teens but was followed by failure after that. On the day of his death, he luckily gets a second chance at life, where he finds himself in his teens, right before everything about his life changes.
We follow him as he meets different authors, learns their habits, interacts with them, and has fun. It’s not only about writing but also about the internal psychological struggle one has about his works. I don’t think I have described this book correctly. But I went into a detailed dive into this work, too. You can check it out here if you’re interested.
3. The Richest Man in Babylon
Now, this is in an entirely different plane from the above two. It’s not a fiction, but a non-fiction instead. But those who read it know that it’s more of a fiction than many books coming out these days.

The central theme of the book is about wealth. We meet different people in the ancient city of Babylon to learn from their experiences. We start with Basnir, who is a regular employee like us who dreams of winning big one day; then we go to Arkad, the richest man in Babylon; we follow his son Nomasir, breaking out of his shell, The Dabasir, who got rid of his debts and becomes a free man, The gold-lender Mathon, the guard Banzar and many more.
Each teaches us a different aspect of wealth-building, but everyone is connected in more ways than one. I won’t say anything more; just read this once. I desperately wished and looked for other books that were written similarly to this but found very few.
Of course, I have shared my opinion and love for this book in an article, too!
These three stories are things I re-read multiple times, and I would still love to read them again! Do you have any such books that you re-read every time? Share it with me in the comments!
I’m currently reading Mastery by Robert Greene and will keep sharing some interesting deep dives into what I read here on Medium. If you’re interested, make sure to follow!
Thanks for reading till the end! Until Next Time! ✌️
